What is Borescope?
iqualitrol Videoscope systems with exceptional functionality,

feature a high-resolution image sensor positioned at the objective
end, and matched to our precision lenses to deliver bright,
colour-rich images. Advanced LED or laser diode illuminations
provide optimum brightness to the inspection area.
A borescope is an optical device which can be used for visual
inspection of inaccessible work areas. This device consists of a
rigid or flexible tube, with an eyepiece on end. It is also
surrounded by the optical fibres, which helps the user to
illuminate the remote object inaccessible by other means. The
objective lens and the eyepiece help to magnify the internal image
by illuminating.
Video Borescope Zoom
Zooming on your video borescope involves getting a closer view of
distant surfaces. Optical zoom uses an actual lens adjustment and
digital zoom adjusts the digital image itself.
Optical zoom: An optical zoom is a true zoom lens, like the zoom
lens you’d use on a photographer’s camera. There are no video
borescopes manufactured with true optical zoom at this point in
time.
Digital zoom: Some video borescopes offer a digital zoom, which is
simply image processing. When you use a digital zoom, the borescope
camera enlarges the image area at the center of the frame and trims
away the outside edges of the picture.
Application:
Industrial videoscopes are used to remotely inspect plant and
equipment for condition, quality control check are made with
videoscopes on precision parts and castings and law enforcement
uses videoscopes for detection of hidden contraband and explosive
ordinance disposal.
